Serving My Country
For over 20 years, I have served my country in several military branches. In 1990, I joined the Navy for a 5
year enlistment while still employed as an industrial photographer at the General Electric Company. It was my opportunity
to continue my education and travel the world. Thereafter, I joined the the Air Force Reserve for 2 years. The
remainder of my service has been with the Massachusetts Air National Guard (ANG) , at Barnes Air National Guard Base,
in Westfield MA. Today, I have achieved the rank of Staff Sergeant.
Currently, at the Barnes ANG base, I am a member of the Public Affairs Staff which reports directly to the Wing Commander.
My section is responsible for media coverage, correspondence, general base information, scheduling fly-overs of the F-15s
during Memorial Day, Veterans' Day, and July 4th parades. This has been a rewarding experience, which has provided me the
honor to serve my country while building character and integrity demanded by military life.
